Project: house in Bologna, Italy Architect in charge: Nicolò Lewanski, Federica Russo
The house is the result of an overlap between a building - Villa Malaparte in Capri - and Robert Venturi's book Complexity and Contradiction in Architecture. Following the argument of the book, the house becomes one and double depending on the elevation you look at. It is composed from the outside in as a classical Architecture, but the windows are imposed from the inside, without any respect for the elevations themselves. As in Casa Malaparte, the stair is also a roof. The storage is united and disjoined from the rest of the house.
